Technically, he’s a dry grocer (pansari). Ubiquitous in my parents generation and now increasingly rare thanks to organized retail (including online). I spotted him in a weekly market in Delhi devoted to fruits and vegetables.
Taken with a mobile phone, it is a photo I came upon when i wasn’t looking for one, and it quickly became one of my All-Time Favorites

This is a wonderful photo. The textures and colors with the boy in the middle, the soft light, the white outline of each spice. Like a giant piece of art. BRAVO!
